As an unconventional school although I am the school administrator, my academic training is in agricultural crop science (diploma in agronomy). In as much as we can, we try to grow our own vegetables, herbs, ornamental plants and flowers. One would ask why would someone in agriculture be the school administrator? Our school takes practical skills very seriously and it is my job to ensure we maintain a hands-on approach and maximize the resources of land and water that we have at Nkwashi. I am currently pursuing a degree in project management and have gone through rigorous administrative training to ensure that our prospective and current explorers have an amazing experience from day 1. In addition to this, being part of the school community gives me an opportunity to inspire our learners and show them why its important to be organized and good at communication.
